Weeks 8-10 update

May 22, 2020

Well, we are just finishing off week 10 of this so called life. Luckily we have hit stage 1 of our re-launching and it looks like the cases are slowing down. I am definitely going a little stir crazy but things are looking up and we've had a good few weeks.

The girls started zoom classes this month and they have been going really well. They are so happy to be working with Miss Auri and Miss Joy again and love seeing their friends.

The weather has been so nice. We've been bbqing as much as we can. I love good food.

We've been able to spend some time with family which has been so good for our souls. We are able to hang out in small groups now and so we added family to the list of those we can spend time with. We always make smart choices, keep our hands clean, and keep safe distances when we're together. We do the best we can anyway. At this point we have to decide what we are willing to risk with spending time with our loved ones. None of our immediate family is at high risk so we have decided its more important for us to spend time together then apart. Our emotional and mental health is just as important as our physical health. I hate that people are so afraid to post pictures of hanging out with family or going places in fear that they will be judged. Everyone needs to live the life they are comfortable with. I really hope you are all getting some safe family time, and if its just not possible for you right now for whatever reason, then I hope you get to soon. Good thing we have technology to keep us connected. Even though its not quite the same thing, at least we have that.

We did a camp kitchen wiener roast with the Olsen's. It was so nice to be at our little family camp kitchen. It is one of our favourite places for sure.

Good thing I don't have to social distance from this guy

We went on an adventure walk with Brit and the girls.

The kids climbed the crack while Brit and I didn't. We met them and took the nice leisurely way because we're smart like that.

We had a backyard Bridge pizza party to celebrate Steve and Julian's new place.

And we finally made it to see my Dad and Penny. We haven't seen them since Christmas and missed them so much. We had good food, some adventure of course, and a really nice visit. I especially love sitting on the deck by their little gas fire pit. We had such a nice time.

Besides these special occasions we've just been spending time at home. Usually one of us goes grocery shopping and if there is anything else we need we order it online. We are doing our best to keep busy. Bike riding, going for walks, watching movies etc. We are definitely ready for life to go back to normal but we are happy and healthy, and that is the most important. School is definitely taking a back seat for us. We will pretty much get it done when we get it done and that's all I have to say about that. Sending lots of love and positive vibes out to all of you. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. We got this.
