So long August.

Sep 1, 2018

And just like that, summer is over. We were hoping to get a few more days in at the pool before school started but the weather has turned into Fall over night as well. Makes it a little too cold for out door swimming. The last two weeks have just zoomed by.

Hayley had her 7th birthday. She's always the hardest child to watch getting older. Her being my baby and all that. We had Brit and the girls come over to watch "The Greatest Showman." We had a candy bar and popcorn while we enjoyed the movie and then had Strawberry cream pie and chocolate cake for dessert. It was a fun afternoon. She was so excited to get a new bike for her birthday and we've been enjoying our evening bike rides together.

The girls had their dance intensive. It is a full week of working with guest choreographers and learning and growing as dancers. They both had a fantastic week and I was blown away by the energy and level being taught by the instructor's. I think it was our favorite intensive to date. The girls loved being back at the studio and being with their friends.

Ryan was given 4 free tickets to the Rodeo during Whoop-Up Days. We invited Lora and Ryan and made a double date night out of it. It was a really fun night. We watched the Rodeo from VIP seating which was super close. I'd never watched a Rodeo before and it was a neat experience, but I couldn't help feeling sorry for the horses. After it was over we walked around the fair for a bit. Went on a couple of ride's and got mini donuts. Then we ended the night watching the fireworks. It was such a fun night. Oh, and I forgot to mention we started the night at Blaze pizza. It was delicious. I especially loved the dough knots (i think that's what they're called)

We've been dog sitting for Adam and Brit the last week. If you know me you know I am not a lover of animals. I just don't like taking care of them or like them anywhere near me really, but for some reason I have a little bit of love for their dog Story. She's just cute and well behaved and I don't know, I just enjoy her. The kids have been in heaven and have loved taking care of her.

We also had Will and Lily for a few days last week. The kids have so much fun together.

Hayley especially loves Story's little pen.

We've had a fantastic summer but I think we are ready to get back into a routine again.

Oh, and watermelon popsicle's and snapchat treasures.
