July.

July, where have you gone? This past month has been so good to us which make's it hard to say goodbye. We've been having such a great summer. The weather has been beautiful and we've been enjoying each and every day. McKenna received her award she won for dance this year. She won the Brandi Sokol Memorial Award which is given to a promising ballet student who has a good work ethic. It came with a trophy that she keeps, a plaque that her name will go on but stays at the studio, and $100. She also got a card from Brandi's daughters which she especially loved. She also won the 20th Anniversary award for her ballet duet with Duncan, and Hayley won a $100 scholarship that goes to dance next year. The girls had such a fantastic year but its been nice to have a little break this summer.

We've enjoyed many evening bike rides together.

While Brit and I hiked to Bertha Lake (a post coming soon) the kids got to play at the farm with their cousins.

McKenna loves getting her hair cut at the beginning of summer when the dance season is over.

Ty's been working hard at baseball. The last two weekends he had tournaments in the Calgary area so we got to spend some time at my Dad's in Okotoks. Hayley even got to do a sewing project with Gramma Penny.

The girls and I picked up some classics that we are excited to read together, and we've also been watching all the Harry Potter movies together.

I've also started reading the Harry Potter series again. Its been awhile but they are still my favourite book series ever. Speaking of Harry Potter, it was his birthday yesterday so we had to celebrate by getting butter beer cupcakes from crazy cakes. They were delicious!

We've also been enjoying so many pool days at Henderson. Meeting friends there has been our favourite.

Though we are sad to say goodbye to July we are excited for August. So many fun and exciting things coming up. Happy Summering everyone.
