Miss McKenna.

Feb 23, 2016

McKenna turned 8 yesterday. She has been looking forward to a birthday party with friends for awhile because she hasn't had one yet, like ever. Life just always seems to be busy for us around her birthday. This year is no different. Our weekends are pretty much booked up and crazy for the next month so I told her that a party would have to wait till the end of March. She didn't complain at all. That is McKenna. She is pretty laid back and patient, rarely complains and just take's things in stride. Unless she's tired lol. She is so helpful and loving with Hayley, who is quite the sassy pants, but McKenna is so patient with her and they play so well together because of that. She has been dedicating a lot of time to dance and is working so hard. She loves it, and loves the friends that she has made there. She loves doing quiet things in her room like writing in her journal, reading, or playing with her shopkins. She is a social butterfly and has lots of friends at school and hate's to miss a day for anything. She is kind, and fun, and I just love spending time with her.

We were out at the farm celebrating the February birthdays over the weekend with the Olsen's. We had Chili Burgers, and brownies, and had fun visiting and hanging out with our family. She had school and dance on her actual birthday but she opened her presents in the morning. She got a journal or doodle book as she calls it, a case for her shopkins and a few new shopkins, a fox stuffy, a pretend pet butterfly, some m&m's, and $ from Gramma and Grampa. She was a happy girl. Then we had cupcakes after supper. She said it was a good day. She is easy to please which makes my job easier.

Happy Birthday my dear sweet girl. We sure love you!
