Ryan and I celebrated our 12th anniversary a couple of weeks ago. The kids went and stayed out at the farm so Ryan and I could go on a date. We went out for dinner and did some Christmas shopping. Then saturday we went to a matinee to see Mocking Jay part 2. It was a really nice weekend. Ryan really is the best husband and I seem to love him more and more as time goes by. I feel like we've really opened up to each other this past year about some really personal things and have connected on an even deeper level. He really is the best. Happy Anniversary Ry.
Nate turned eleven a few days ago. Its actually kind of fun to have a pre-teen. He is babysitting his siblings which is super awesome for Ry and I. We've been going out for dinner and grocery shopping together more often, and I don't have to pack up all the kids to go to dance. He is a good big brother most of the time. I love that he is starting to get our adult humor and we can have deeper conversations. He's starting to play games with us, and loves to watch football with his Dad and brother. He is really into football and basketball and still loves to read. He is doing really awesome in school. I think writing is becoming one of his best subjects. I got a new Iphone 6 for Christmas so we gave my old Iphone 5s to Nate for his birthday. We are not connecting it as a phone so its more like an ipod touch. He loves it and was so surprised and excited. For his party he invited 2 friends to come over and play xbox. We had pizza and cupcakes and then the boys went to see Scorch Trials at the theatre. He had a really good day. I'm glad he has a couple of really good friends that he's had since grade 1. I am so proud of you Nate. Love you to the moon and back.
It's great when then can start to babysit isn't it. Happy anniversary.
