The second day we had a picnic lunch at Emerald Bay an then hiked Bear's Hump. Its a short but pretty steep hike that overlooks the town site. They made a whole new trail going up. It was definitely weird being able to see the trail the whole way up because the trees are gone from the fire. Still the most beautiful view at the top. Then the kids and I hung out at the Park and then walked down by the water while Ryan biked to the gates and back. We also met up with Shannon and Jody for a bit. Ty didn't come with us this time because he was hurtin from a bike wipe out. We sure love our Waterton.

At the beginning of July we spent a couple of days in Waterton. Some of our favourite hikes that we use to do every year are finally open again so we were excited to be able to do them again. The first day we hiked to Crandall Lake. This is an easy, short hike to a beautiful little Lake. It definitely looked very different. The water was also really high so there was no beach at all. Ty and his friend had fun jumping into the freezing cold water. After the hike we went for Beaver Tails.
