Yikes. I'm getting super behind on blogging again but I guess that just means we are having fun enjoying life. Before I post about Writing-On-Stone here's a quick little update.
We haven't been on too many family bike rides but hopefully that will change now that it is officially summer. Ryan and Ty have been getting out and doing some coulee rides. They love it. I prefer to stay on concrete path's.
Lots of fort building and sleeping in each other's rooms. Just the kids. I definitely prefer to sleep in my own bed. This girl can literally sleep anywhere.
Ryan and I actually went out on a date to an actual restaurant. We went and tried Cibo and it was really good. The best part were there nutella donuts.
We've had a few play date's with these two cuties.
We missed them and love spending time with them.
We had an early Father's Day BBQ with the Olsen's.
Of course it started pouring as soon as we were ready to bbq. Luckily Ryan had the perfect umbrella holder at his disposal.
The girls were back at the studio this past week in a summer camp kind of format, following all the rules that the province set out. Oh my gosh. They were so giddy with excitement to be back in person with their friends and teacher's and back inside the studio that is pretty much their second home. The smile when McKenna came out after the first day was so big and the first thing she said was "I missed that so much." I am glad they have found something they love so much. Sometimes you don't realize you love something so much until its gone.
Now that the restrictions are being lifted and the economy is starting to open up, we have extended our list of cohorts and people that we can see on a regular basis and it has been everything. We love our people.
School was super difficult these last two weeks (well lets be real, it was always difficult.) At least the older kids were pretty independent and even though some needed a little push, bribe, or the taking away of friends and electronics, they all ended up finishing. Best day ever. Hayley didn't do much the last two weeks but what do ya do. We did the best we could. Please, please, no online school for the Fall.
So, it is officially summer and we could not be happier about it. We've also been spending tons of time in Nature which is my absolute favourite.
A couple of weeks ago we went to Writing-On-Stone with our little family and it was so much fun. It is so fun to climb all over the hoodoos and each of our kids are little monkey's who love to climb. We had such a good afternoon and the weather was perfect. Right as we left the rain came down, like it was just waiting for us to finish our adventure before it came. We appreciate that Mother Nature. Now a picture overload because that's what I do.
