McKenna made this little station where everyone had to keep their phones |
We also had a friend arrange a get together for the kids who were graduating from grade 8 from Lakie. They gathered at a park where they could sign year books, take pictures, and have one last hurrah before summer. McKenna and her group of friends were invited to crash since a few of them have older siblings in grade 8. They had a food truck that sells pop and cookies, which was delicious. It was a beautiful afternoon and I got to visit with some friends too. The perfect way to say goodbye to the school year.
McKenna also got to buy pointe shoes! This is a very big deal in a ballerina's life. She is at the right age and level and it is the next step in her training. It was a very exciting day to go buy them. Her ballet teacher met us at the store and helped us pick out the right pair.
Her Dad helped her sew the ribbons and elastics on them. Seriously, he was doing it at like 9:00pm on Father's Day because that's the kind of Dad he is. Pretty much the best.
She has done a few lessons and absolutely loves it. She is such a beautiful ballerina.
