Weeks 5-7.

May 3, 2020

Wow. Its really quite crazy how fast the weeks are zooming by. I guess I kind of figured because we weren't so busy they would go by much more slowly. Things are really good though. We are getting in the groove of online school. Its easier with some of my kids, but a lot trickier with others. I have to be patient with ourselves and just be fine with going at our own pace and not putting so much pressure on the kids. We'll get it done when we get it done. I'm really hoping that in June, they'll just call it a year though. I think we can make it through May, but then we're done. I feel this way during a regular school year so I know with online school it will be much harder to keep up with it. We are so grateful for all our teachers. They are amazing.

The girls are getting along so well (they always have) and are spending all their time together. McKenna is missing her friends and regular life but Hayley is absolutely loving her life. She is a homebody and loves spending her days at home with her family. Luckily technology keeps them connected to their friends. They are producing some fun tik toks and McKenna is getting into taking pictures. Here are a few she took of Hayley that I loved.

So good. We also got her Luna show on a USB and had fun watching it. So glad they got to perform it before all the crazy went down. We got this pic sent to us by Ross Jacobs that he took at the show.

Love it. It was so nice of him to share it with us. McKenna also started making scrunchies with her aunt to sell so she could save for her ballet intensive this summer. I don't think the intensive will be a go this year but she will still sell them to save up for next year. They are so stinkin cute. Here's a sneak peek.

Aren't they adorable. We're still getting together with our cousins once or twice a week. They've been our social distancing buddies since the beginning and the time spent with them is so needed for all our sanity.

The girls have been using their little dance space a ton over these 7 weeks. To practice and to do their zoom classes. Its been so nice. I have also been using it as a workout space. The other morning I went in there and they had turned it into this...

A bedroom. Because the one's they have are apparently not good enough. Its so nice they love spending so much time together, but I gave them 3 nights to enjoy it and then we needed the space again. They actually only got 2 nights and then we had a showing so it had to go back to normal. Yes, our house is still for sale. We've had a couple showings but this whole virus thing has kind of put a damper on it. It feels like things are picking up again though.

The weather has been beautiful. Finally Spring. I packed up all the winter gear and we have been thoroughly enjoying the sunshine.

We decided to buy new bikes this year. It was announced that summer will still be no large groups and still social distancing so we figured we needed them and it would be a good way to spend our summer. Ryan, Ty, and McKenna and I all got new one's, Nate will use Ry's old one, and H was still super happy with hers even though I think its a bit small for her. She is not quite ready to give it up. We also have one of McKenna's old ones that is the perfect size for her when she is ready for it. Looking forward to all our biking adventures.

Well, sending good vibes to everyone. We are about to start stage 1 of our relaunch back to the regular so atleast there is a light.
