Catch up.

Mar 20, 2020

Well seeing I have tons of extra time on my hands now because of the Corona Virus I can finally get caught up on my blog.

Still February:

Ty and Ryan were able to go snowboarding a few times. They both love it and are hoping to be able to go more often next winter.

Farm sleepover for the girls while we were at a basketball tournament in Brooks.

A bubble tea date with friends. We are definitely missing all our friends.

This girl had a birthday. She is now 12 and I just can't believe it but at the same time she's always been very mature for her age. She is beautiful inside and out and one of my favourite humans on the planet. She is patient and hardworking. She is a great big sister and friend. I am constantly in awe of her and am so proud of how kind she is and how much she loves and supports others. I don't know if there is a competitive bone in her body. Well except when it comes to Ty. Those two are always competing with each other. Happy Birthday McKenna! We love you so much.

We were so busy in February that we were holding off on her birthday sleepover with friends, but now with the quarantine I don't know if and when that will ever happen.

Now onto March:

The girls had their buddy party at the studio. Its a fun night where they get paired up with someone older or younger and they cheer and support each other on throughout competition season. Its definitely one of their favourite things about being a part of the festival troupe. Both girls had  fun night and are excited to get to know their buddies better.

It was a Mexican fiesta. They had taco's, went through 10 different fiesta themed stations, and then got to hit a pinata. Such a fun night.

One of McKenna's assignments this year was to chose someone in their life who is an ordinary hero and write a letter to them. She chose her school dance teacher Mrs. Legge. Her letter was chosen and she got to read it to Mrs. Legge at the Ordinary hero's celebration at her school. Ryan, Hayley and I got to attend. It was such a nice night and so special to hear McKenna read her letter. We are so grateful that our kids have so many amazing people in their lives who teach and support them.

McKenna with one of her best friends

Hayley with her little sister. They have been told that they have to be best friends too, but I don't think they are complaining
Wow. It has been a long time since I have been all caught up in life. I hope everyone is healthy and making the best out of a scary and uncertain situation. We got this. And in no time we will be back to regular busy life.
