October.

Nov 4, 2019

All that comes to mind about October was how freakin cold it was. It was just a cold month with only a few nice days splattered here and there. Not so fun. But we still enjoyed October and had a good month.

We went bowling as a family which we have actually never done with our kids. It was our girls first time bowling ever. We invited some friends to come with us and had a really fun night.

We went out to Cardston for Thanksgiving and had a really nice time visiting, eating, and playing games with the Olsen clan.

I have so much to be grateful for, but a few of the main one's right now are being able to stay in our house. I never wanted to sell it and we ended up deciding we could make it work to stay in it. I'm grateful for my family and that we are all healthy and strong and doing well. I'm also grateful that Ryan and I are heading down to St. George, Utah in a few days to celebrate our anniversary. I can't wait to feel the hot sun on my face, shop till I drop, eat at all the good places, and do some amazing hikes. And I get to do it with my favourite guy. I'm grateful for the life that we have built together over the last 16 years. Love you Ry!

The one good thing about colder weather is getting to wear cute boots.

This was when we were driving to Cardston for Thanksgiving. See all that snow on the mountains already. So cold.

A poutine date after dentist appointments.

Sadly after only working at Crazy Cakes for a couple of months the family decided to close it. I worked my last two shifts and  I can't believe the line ups we had the whole day. It was insane and a testament to how much this business meant to the community. I'm grateful I got to work there and experience those last two days. It felt so special to be apart of it.

The line up before the shop even opened on the last day

Got to try and spud bun which I didn't even know existed. So good.

Our last box of spudnuts.
I just officially got on the sub list at our elementary school as an EA, so hopefully I will start getting some calls soon. I'm excited for this new adventure. I've always been drawn to working in a school and I finally get to put my education to use.

McKenna is taking two pilates classes a month and I'm always amazed at her strength.

She loves it so much.

I got to go on two school field trips. One with Hayley to the Waste Water Treatment Plant, which was really interesting, and then with McKenna to the production of Newsies. We love Newsies and they did an amazing job. We both thoroughly enjoyed it. It was fun to see a couple members of our dance family in it.

I also volunteered to go on Ty's field trip to Heritage Park in Calgary but it ended up snowing that day and we only made it to Fort Macleod and then had to turn around. It was such a bummer.

And of course we ended the month off with Halloween. I don't love it, but we always enjoy the festivities. I felt bad because I always go to the elementary school to watch the parade but I was at Newsies and missed it. Hayley was a witch for school, which I didn't get a picture of, and then the girls both wore their onsies for trick or treating. A Giraffe, and an Owl. We had Tamara and the girls over to trick or treat with. It was the first year all the adults got to stay home. The boys went out with their friends and got way too much candy. I think we all had a pretty fun night.

Well November, we are ready for ya.
