36.

Apr 18, 2017

35 is going to be a hard year to say goodbye to, but I am actually looking forward to 36. I often tell people that my 30's have been the best years of my life and I honestly think that 35 has been the best year yet. I have had an amazing year. I feel happy, healthy, well balanced, and my kids are more independent which has freed up more time for me to do the things I love. Nate being able to babysit was a game changer for us. Date nights whenever we want, and its easier for me to run errands. I just have this freedom again that I'd forgotten about. We are at a good place financially, we are almost done the house that we put so much of everything into this year. Its been hard at times but I feel strong and capable and its made the house building journey easier to get through. Honestly, 35 was great. I am equally looking forward to 36. We will be moving into our house in less then two weeks. Every time I go there and I see more progress I just get so excited and so proud of my husband. He has built us something so incredible and just perfect for our family. I cannot wait to get all moved in. I've been on a journey the last couple of years of putting more effort into taking care of myself and next week I'm starting a fitness and nutrition challenge for 8 weeks. I am excited to put everything I have into it and see what my body can accomplish. I plan to be in the best shape of my life when I'm through. Working out has become pretty easy for me so it will be the nutrition plan that might be a challenge, but I know it will take me to the next level with my health. Ryan and I also have a trip to Oahu planned for next February which I am really looking forward to. So ya, I'm pretty sure 36 is going to be freaking awesome and even better then 35.

Life is too crazy right now to even think about celebrating my birthday. I got a vitamix for my birthday which is all I wanted. Its crunch time at the house so Ryan needed to be there working on it, and I didn't want cake and goodies because I'm getting ready to go on this nutrition plan and I ate enough junk for Easter, so it really was like any other day. The kids made it special by putting up signs all over the house while I was at Costco. Brit and Cody also got me gifts which was really nice of them, and I got lots of love via text and facebook. That's all this girl needs.

Well 35, you'll be hard to beat but I think 36 just might do it. Thanks for all the birthday love.
