33.

I turned 33 last week. Its great having a day where everyone spoils you but at the same time its just a reminder that I'm getting older. The older I get, the more it feels like life on this earth is too short. There is so much I want to see, do and experience. I hope I can make the most of this life and what it has to offer.

The kids were great. They all gave me lots of happy birthdays, hugs, and did nice things for me all day. Ty really wanted to get me a basketball hoop for my birthday. He knew I wanted one and Ryan has been watching out for any used one's for sale, but hadn't found anything. That's when it dawned on me that my in-laws have one at their place that usually just sits in the garage. We asked them if we could borrow it and they said yes. So we are all excited to have a basketball hoop in our driveway. The boys are getting pretty good and we have fun playing together. I bought cupcakes from edible elegance for my birthday. They were delicious. We are trying really hard to get out of debt so Ryan and I haven't been getting each other presents. I've had a few friends whose husband's have made them furniture and it kind of dawned on me again that my husband can build houses so he must be able to build furniture too. We have never had a bed frame so I found one I love online and Ryan is going to make it for me. I am so excited and can't wait to show you when its all done. Now my mind is racing on all the things that Ryan can make for me:)

My brother and sister in-law had our three older kids sleepover Friday night and my sister took Hayley Saturday afternoon so that Ryan could take me out for lunch for my birthday. We had a really nice time together. I love going out to eat and getting yummy food and being able to just sit and visit with no distractions. Then one of my best friends took me out for dinner the other day. We don't see each other often enough and its always great to get together and visit. She also got me a gift card to get something for myself. It was really generous of her. I had a great time. Thanks Megs. You are the best.

I also got lots of birthday wishes, a beautiful birthday song from my niece's, and a lovely card and treat from my in-laws. Birthdays are the best.
