House boating on the Shuswap (part 2)

Sep 23, 2020

Next we headed to Albas where there was a hike to a waterfall. We love our hikes and will try to get one in where ever we travel to. It was beautiful.

Funny thing was when we pulled up to Albas the party boat that was next to us on the first night was beached there being as loud as they possibly could. When we were finished the hike we got that heck out of there. From Albas we didn't travel too far and beached for the night at two mile creek. There were a couple other boats there but they were pretty quiet. We were all pretty tired so just had a chill night. We took off early the next morning to find our next spot for the night. We were trying to get closer to the marina because it would be our last night. We ended up beaching at Wood's Landing and spent the rest of the day there. Floating, swimming, we even found a little waterfall to hike up. We were all alone too. No other boats came the whole time. We had another nice campfire on the beach in the evening.

This butterfly was flying around our boat a ton and landed on my ankle

The next morning we had to be at the marina at 1:30pm so we started making our way back. As we headed back we started packing up. Ryan's sister's were house boating at the same time as us so we finally arranged to meet up. We beached where they were to say hi and see their boat. We swam one last time and then we headed back to the marina.

We seriously had the best time. Add it to your bucket list if you haven't done it yet. I promise, it is worth it. We stopped for ice cream on our way home. We also stayed one night in Golden so that we wouldn't have to drive the whole way home.

Thanks Malacko clan for the memories.
