Then I go get myself some tea. I love sipping on something hot first thing in the morning. While I'm drinking my tea I write in my journal. Again, this is just really therapeutic for me. I don't really have a method to the madness, I just write. Whatever it is I'm thinking or feeling in that moment. It helps me clear my mind, process things, make sense of things, and feel grateful. Its also a really great way of documenting your life, which if you know me at all, you know I'm a little obsessed with that.
Then I exercise. I usually just do a couple of Tone it Up you tube video's. They are some of my favourite trainers. I love weight training and booty exercises best. I really only do like a 30 minute workout each day.
I love using a kettlebell |
I love these dairy free oat bowls I got from Walmart. I just add some fruit and they're ready to eat. A nice quick breakfast on the go (not that I need that right now.)
Then I'll usually shower and then its time to check in on my kids. I truly believe that a good morning routine sets the pattern for your day. I feel like if I do these few things before I start my day, I am more motivated, happier, and more inspired as I go throughout the day.
Ps. Ryan and I went to Walmart the other day to get a few things. It was so crazy to see so many empty shelves. This was literally the last bag or box of pasta left on the shelf.
Brown rice pasta it is. (it was actually perfect for my chicken noodle soup)
But don't worry, there is plenty of candy still.
Priority's right. Also Ty and McKenna have been baking up a storm.
Cupcakes and donuts and there are double chocolate chip cookies coming out of the oven as I type this. Just teaching life skills over here.
A quote to leave you with.
I hope everyone is using this time to slow down and spend it doing the things you really love, with the people you really love. I'm hoping I'll learn a thing or two that I can keep with me even when life goes back to its normal pace.
