Canmore.

A couple of weeks ago M and I went up to Calgary for a week while M attended a ballet intensive at the Edge School. While she danced I spent my days shopping or hanging out in parks. It was fun to get away just the two of us. McKenna loved her intensive and learned a lot.

 

By Thursday I was getting pretty sick of the city, especially driving in traffic, so I dropped M off and kept driving. Right to the mountains. I went to Canmore and hiked one of my favourite hikes. Grassi Lake hike is a pretty easy but beautiful hike that takes you to two little Lakes which have the most amazing colour of water. After my hike I went to Quarry Lake and ate my picnic lunch and read a book. It was just what I needed. I love the mountains and being in Nature.

For the drive back to the city

While we were gone the other three stayed at Adam and Brit's and the farm. The boys ended up working all week either on the farm or with Roy doing insulation and drywall. They worked hard and made a bit of money.
