May like every month has just zoomed by. I can't believe McKenna only has 3 weeks of school left, and the boys 4 weeks. We are so excited for summer! Here's what we've been up to the last couple of weeks:
McKenna and I received our jamberry nail wraps in the mail. We had fun putting them on and have loved them. We can't wait to buy more and experiment more with them.
We spent a weekend in Okotoks at my Dad's with all of my family. We spent one day at Heritage Park. It was a beautiful day and we had the best time. All the kids loved the rides.
McKenna had Lethbridge Hawaii and of course it didn't disappoint. She had the best time and had lots of stories to tell us and a ton of souvenirs to show us. I'm sad it's the last Lethbridge Hawaii that will ever take place. It has been a special memory for all of the kids.
Nate has been training the last month for the Runner's Soul Marathon. They run most of the kilometers on their own and with their school and then they have a night set a side where they run the last 2 km. Nate has been running hard and hasn't complained once. The night of the race he did awesome and had so much fun. he got a t-shirt, a medal, and a free hamburger. We are so proud of him and the hard work he put into running all his kilometers.
I got to go on yet another field trip with McKenna and her kindergarten class. To the Helen Schuler Nature Center again. I think they go every season. We had fun.
McKenna got her Kindergarten graduation pictures done. I can't believe her Kindergarten career is close to an end. We will sure miss the L.P.S.P program.
I had a YW's sleepover. We roasted wiener's and marshmallows, had a hot tub party, and ate rootbeer floats and played campfire games. The girls slept in tents. It was such a fun time. I especially loved our sing along in the hot tub and was especially impressed that most of them new the words to Wonderwall by Oasis, which is a song thats like 20 years older then them. I really love all the girls and enjoy the time that I get to spend with them.
We went to Miss Pati's farewell tea. She taught Kindergarten to all three of my older children and has been teaching the L.P.S.P program for 42 years. She is wonderful and we have loved everything about the program. She will retire at the end of the year. We are sad to say goodbye, and especially sad that Hayley will have to go to regular Kindergarten. It was nice to see people we knew and that the kids went to Kindergarten with, and to see pics of all the years she has taught Kindergarten.
I also made the kids do this...
It was a good month. Bring on June!
