Back to School.

We survived our first week back to school. The kids were all excited to return to school and their friends. I felt torn. Its always nice to get back into a routine and watch the kids start a new adventure, but its also nice having the freedom to be lazy and do what we want when we want.

McKenna started grade one. She was at a different school for Kindergarten so this was a really big  adventure for her. She was excited because her best friend from church is in her class and she has the same teacher both boys had for grade one. She came home really excited cause their is another little girl in her class named McKenna too. Of course they are best friends now.

Ty started grade two. He was very excited to get back to school. He is very social and is always playing with friends. One of the boys that he played with all summer who lives in our neighborhood is in his class and he too has the same teacher Nate had for grade two.

Nate started grade four. He was pretty nervous because he was getting a new teacher and would be in a different hallway. The day was a success. He likes his teacher and has some friends in his class. He could have had a couple more months of summer holidays. He likes to be home and really enjoys being by himself. One of the neighborhood boys would come over to play over the summer and Nate would just say "I don't want to play right now". He really just likes to do his own thing.

Sorry for the crappy first day pics. I should have taken some before we left for school but we were rushed to get there on time and then getting them all to their class is always busy so they were rushed photo's. Next year I will be better prepared.

I also started watching my cousin's little boy. Another reason we were so rushed and not prepared. I'm not use to having an 18 month old or an extra child. Will is a really sweet, and an easy going little boy. It is just more work. Hayley just turned three so she is getting pretty independent and entertains herself pretty good. Will needs to be watched and entertained. It takes some getting use to. I watch him three days a week. So far, so good. We are back into a nice routine. I won't mention that we're into the second week of September and its snowing right now. Seriously.
