Dance and Football.

Sep 21, 2015

We are getting back into a regular routine with school and extra curricular activities, and just like that, life is busy again. A good busy. Dance and football take up most of our time right now. McKenna is taking 5 classes this year. Two ballet, two jazz, and one tap. She will also be in two festival piece's this year and will have 3 competitions to attend. She is loving it so much. Hayley started with her first dance class. She is taking a tap and jazz combo class. She was so excited her first day and was all ready to go a couple hours before it was time to go. I was worried she would have a hard time going by herself but she went right to class with no problems and said she loved it.

The boys have football 3 evenings a week. Ty is playing on the Coyote's Atom team and Nate on the Coyote's peewee team. They are both loving it and are learning tons. I love how tough it is making them:) They practice twice a week and then each have a game once a week. Ryan loves having the boys play football. It takes him back to his glory days:) Ty is so confidant and picks things up really quickly. He usually plays quarterback, or running back. This is really out of Nate's comfort zone. I am so impressed each time I drop him off that he is actually doing this. His confidence is growing tons. He usually plays defense, the position where he blocks the wide receiver (I'm still learning this sport too). He is doing really well. The week is pretty busy. Usually the boys have to come to dance with me and Ryan picks them up from there and takes them to football. They have game nights on different nights and the other one is usually practicing at the same time. If its a home game it works out perfectly but if its an away game I usually have to drop M off at dance, then take one of the boys to practice, pick them up and then back to the dance studio to pick up M, while Ryan takes the other boy to their game. Its a lot of back and forth. Thank goodness football season is only 2 months. Its all worth it though when I get to watch them play and see them improving and developing their talents. Hayley has been a trooper through it all. Getting dragged every which way. I need to get a pic of the boys together with their game jersey's on but for now this will have to do ...

We were able to spend a day in Waterton over the long weekend. We brought Roy's canoe out and the kids loved it.

And Nate got contacts! He loves them. They were a must as he is getting more involved in Sports. It just makes me realize that he is growing up.

So far Fall has been good to us.
