Back to School.

Sep 4, 2015

We had such an amazing summer. Beautiful weather and so much fun spending time together and enjoying the place where we live. Its hard to want the kids to go back to school, especially when we have mornings like this:

The kids got the play money out and each set up a little store and they would go buy things from each other's store. They played like this for over an hour. I loved how they each made sure everyone was getting equal visits to their store, and when someone was running low on money they would go buy something from them to help them out. #shoplocal  As their Momma it was so fun to watch and observe them playing. But whether we want it to or not, school always comes.

I always dread it, but it is always exciting and once we get the first day done and out of the way I begin to love it. I love getting back into a good routine. I also started watching my cousin Nicole's little guy Will again. I'm babysitting him until the end of November and then his Mom is off on Mat leave. We love having him. He is such a fun and sweet little guy.

Nate started grade 5. It is a 4-5 split class. He has the same teacher and the same grade 5 kids, and a lot of the grade 4 kids that came up were in his previous 2-3 split so he as been in classes with them already. He is really excited for mini basketball this year because of all the skills he picked up over the summer:)

Ty is in grade 3. He too has the same teacher and same grade 3 kids in his class. He is in a 2-3 split class and his best friend who is in grade 2 is in his class this year so he is really excited about that. He loves school because he loves to be with friends and needs something going on at all times.

McKenna is in grade 2. She was a little bummed because none of her 3 best friends are in her class this year. She got a new teacher Mrs. Lenz, who is awesome and it didn't take us long to realize we were going to like her (the boys both had the same teacher for grade 2-3 so she is new to me too) Of course on the first day she came home and said she had a new best friend. They make them so easily at this age. She was also excited because she has gym class with two of her best friends from grade one.

They all had a great first week and are happy to be back in school.

This little girl has one more year until Kindergarten...

I think I'm really going to enjoy my last year with her:)
